we had a witch and scooby do...Madison saw Kayla getting all the makeup on so I had to put something on her...hence the black nose even though scooby already has a nose...
It was too funny.....the girls did not plan at all together or talk about what they were going to be...but Kayla and JoMarie both ended up as witches....and then when the whole gang got there we realized Brianna dressed up as a witch as well....uhm....maybe they are tired of being a princess....
here are all the kids at Nancy's house before we took off on our trick or treating rounds...Considering they only went around the few houses around Nancy's and my small division they got a good size loot!
Jerry hanging with the big kids....doing the "eating a donut off of a string" game...Kraig won!! He must have practiced!
Madison's first attempt at bobbing for apples...she got it in the 2nd or 3rd try!! She had some great teachers!

We went to the Kinston Nature center. Three classes went and my class and Kayla's class were able to go together! First we went into the center and saw a planetarium...did some hands on activities...then we went on a nature walk....followed up with a visit to a reptile room with snakes, alligator, hissing cockroaches, skunks and all sorts of "neat" exhibits. the kids had a blast. Seems like it was only yesterday that I took DJ on his kindergarten field trip. He enjoyed his so much he kept asking when he would go on his next field trip.....(he never did get to the next one.....) anyway...Kayla had a ball and she was so excited because it was the first time she got to ride a SCHOOL BUS!!

I can't believe it took me this long to cut it off....but here it is....the new and improved me!! I cut off prob. close to 8 inches of hair

Linda a friend of mine has been working very hard on a public service announcement. Tammi wrote up a nice blog on it so I thought I would just click and paste what she said....she said it perfectly so why should I say it again:

"Some you may remember when close friends of ours lost thier son Ryan to a freak accident and drinking out of a well. Linda and Shawn have been working very hard on trying to change legislation to protect the citizens of wyoming from a tragedy like this happening again. They have been trying to get the word out and here is thier new public service announcement which should be airing soon in our area. Anything that I can do to do my part and help get the word out. I am amazed by this family and thier dedication to trying to do everything they can to be sure that this never happens again, not only in Wyoming where our laws leave a lot to be desired but everywhere. "
I always thought she looked more like Jerry!

saw this on Tammi's blog and I had to copy it!!

Earlier this week we took the girls to the Pitt County Fair. They had a blast....games, rides, food....everything overpriced of course but how can you turn down some good wholesome fair fun! =) The first picture is of Sam and Madison.....Samantha is growning up....makes us feel so much older!

I couldn't share just those first five pictures so here are five more of us pumpkin picking.... =) The pumpkin patch is a neat day trip with the kids....they have animals to pet and feed, a small hay maze for little kids (a medium corn maze -we usually do but couldn't because of the heat, a large hay maze - a couple hour endeaver and a haunted hay maze at night) they also have a playground, fish pond, picnic shelters, face paintings, pony rides, hay rides and pumpkin picking...it has become a yearly tradition to take the kids. I think the adults enjoy it as much as the kids do!

We took the girls pumpkin picking with our friends Latasha and Johnny and their kids, Little Johnny, Brandon and Brianna. We all had fun EXCEPT here in NC it was 90 degress and HOT!! We skipped the corn maze for fear that the snakes would be out in the heat. Even though I have been here in NC now for over 6 years it takes getting use to this hot weather so late into the year. Hey.....at least it isn't snowing! =)

The girls had a blast camping at Twin Lakes campground. http://www.twinlakesnc.com/docs/welcome-center.htm Oh to be young again! Kayla's skirt use to be white! You can only imagine what it looks like now! =)

the girls and their dog ButterBean. Butterbean came to us on Mothers day this past year....she is 2 years old but you would think she was 20....she is housetrained...calm....never heard her bark....lets the kids climb all over her....she is a wonderful addition to our family!

Kayla was so excited about starting kindergarten...so was I!! It is hard to think that Kayla is now as old as DJ. It has been so much fun to have her with me at school....I am so proud of her and how she is doing! She is picking things up so fast! Here are pics of her first day at school...

Nancy...I had to add this video....I think it is so funny on how we have all this technology but we get stuck on using a camera. Jerry and I were outside of the Golden Nugget in Vegas waiting for Nancy to take a picture of us. =)

This is the first video I have ever uploaded...so I hope it works for you! This is our athlete....all tomboy! even in pink....

Madison and I did a mommy and me gymnastics class this summer. This was her last day of her summer session. I am a little behind on the pics because we have already started the fall session....ooops! Thankful a little birdy dropped a little note in my email and said "what happened to your blog!" (thanks Tammi)....so I am going to try and get better at this!

I have taken a Wilton's cake decorating class. These are some of the cakes that I have made. They taste better than they look! =)
